Jam Wow!
So, this is one of the most awesome things I have seen at 4:00 am. It's the Sham Wow guy re-mixed to techno music and it's amazing. if you look for this on youtube, the same dj (Steve Porter) remixes the slap chop commercial, I just thought more people would be familiar with the SHam Wow commercial. Enjoy. | | Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 | | 12:32 pm |
Bob made me do it...
It's called "The ABCs of __________." Only it's your name instead of the blank. Look, just do it, okay? I even posted mine, just for you: The ABCs of Rey A - Age: 3 and some change (in dog years) B - Bed size: full (but it could be fuller, ladies) C - Chore you hate: Laundry (a laundry bag full of my jeans has to weigh like 40 pounds) D - Dog's name: Had one names Charlie when I was young. Since then I have had fish (not really a pet person) Though if I ever get a house I will consider getting a rottweiler (they are so pretty). E - Essential start your day item: Diet Coke (I don't like the taste, it's a chemical addiction). F - Favorite color: Black (it's slenderizing, hides stains, is classicly stylish, and goes with almost anything... plus most things have some version that comes in black, from cars to staplers to underwear). G - Gold or Silver: Silver, gold is so tacky H - Height: 6' 00" I - Instruments you play: The Flute J - Job title: Full time Teacher and Student K - Kids: None (and hopefully it stays that way for a long time) L - Living arrangements: Apartment I can't afford, woo! M - Mom's name: Sonia (like the rose and not Red Sonya) N - Nicknames: Rey (my full name is Reynaldo), Rey-Rey, Shini, Shin Cup, Jaba, Tons of Fun, Lunchbox O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: None, F*** the Hospital P - Pet Peeve: People who have to be right and everybody else is stupid to them Q - Quote from a movie: "Oh F***, I just shot Marvin in the face!" R - Right or left handed: Right S - Siblings: Sister and Mr. Bro-Jangles (he's my brother in law) T - Time you wake up: Usually seven or eight, but really I just hate waking up, ever. U - Underwear: Boxer-briefs, or what my friend Adrianna would call "man-ties" usually black or stripey black/grey, ooh and I have a pair that says "Mon of Steel" with the Superman logo. V - Vegetable you dislike: Corn (though i like it popped or roasted on the cob with season salt) W - Workout style: strapping like 30 pounds in weight to myself and then just wandering for an hour or two; Dance-Dance Revolution X - X-rays you've had: Molars! and my right ankle, and I think they did some kind of scan on my stomach because they thought i had ulcers. Y - Yesterday's best and worst moment: Finishing the last day of teaching for the summer, then going home to finish my last translation for my Spanish class. Z - Zoo favorite: Penguins (though they no longer have them at the San Antonio zoo), and the Komodo Dragon (which is at the San Antonio zoo, I guess he ate the penguins) There Bob, you happy? | | Sunday, April 19th, 2009 | | 8:00 pm |

10 Things I Hate About the Dark Knight
Yeah, I know, more stupid youtube videos having to do with The Dark Knight. What can I say, I should be writing a paper. But seriously, give this one a watch, it works suprisingly well and Heath Ledger was in both films. Enjoy, my friends! This is my last paper this semester, on Friday I recieve my Masters degree! But only if i finish this goddamn paper! -Rey | | Sunday, December 7th, 2008 | | 9:17 pm |
The Dark Knight if it came out in 1966
In honor of Batman: the Dark Knight coming to DVD this Tuesday, lets all take a minute to see what Dark Knight would have looked like if the star was good old Adam West! Enjoy everybody. | | Thursday, December 4th, 2008 | | 10:56 pm |
Here I am again
It seems like I spend at least one night a week in my office, like I don't go home till 3-4am and sometimes not at all. Dear Christ. | | Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 | | 2:15 am |
Maitreya's Prayer
In the room enclosed By metal walls I sleep as if dead Until morning People are dolls tired from dancing Sheep on the altar The mechanical dreams Where are they headed? Announcing predictions Of the end of the world At the doors of neighbors, Soldiers are pounding I want to teach you The words of flowers, trees, little birds, and such Why do people hurt each other? Tossing pebbles into happiness The golden love of a Tatara woman Melts and flows, and changes into a blade. The beauty of the sharpened blade Your profile looks very much like that sword point. Lurking in the sadness and anger The only ones who know your true heart are the forest spirits Scattering golden petals If you look back, there's a dazzling prairie If light shines from the crevice of clouds Your whole body floats in midair The flowing tears are completely withered The loneliness that thirsts for blood Death dances, bringing the scent Of the soft hair of angels Even in the closing memories, there are always Whispers that cannot be forgotten Even on the shattered mirror shards, A new scenery is reflected Instead of stating the number of sadness Sing softly with the same lips It's calling out from deep within the heart Let's draw out dreams always, numerous times Living, mysterious, dying, mysterious The flower, the wind, the city; they're the same Frequently, I had seen the stupid things Frequently, I was standing in someone's shadow Now, I'm a main character. Let me be selfish. Do you like to be praised by Answering everyone's expectations? Will your smile always be beautiful Even if you hide your true self? More than the number of times I suffered, More than the number of times I doubt, I want the number of times I laugh and trust others, And I pray that it'll happen in my life. Turning sadness into kindness Your uniqueness into strength It's okay to get lost So begin walking | | Thursday, November 6th, 2008 | | 8:22 pm |

The Front Fell Off
Clarke and Dawe give a weekly false interview at the end of the 7:30 program, a news show in Australia, wherein they discuss a real issue with hilarious results. I mean, this is some Monty Python calibur stuff (the good bits not the other 107 episodes of crap) or like Will Ferrel as Harry Carry comentating on weekend update when Saturday Night Live was good. Haha. Enjoy... (This bit is about an oil spill that happened when the front of a tanker fell off) | | Sunday, September 28th, 2008 | | 2:06 pm |

Kermit sings "Hurt"
The part with Jim Henson actually made me tear up a little bit. If you ever loved Kermit or the Muppets, this might make you sad in your heart. Current Mood: sad | | Saturday, June 28th, 2008 | | 9:33 pm |
Dragonball Movie
As many of you know, there was already an old Dragonball live action movie. It's actually an unnoficial chinese remake of the first Dragonball movie "Curse of the Blood Rubies." But now, they have an official live action Dragonball Movie set to come out in 2009. And guess who is slated to play Lord Piccolo, none other than James Marsters (better known as Spike of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame). Just thought people might like to know. |
